IMPRO_RING - FRANKFURT 2021 #1
IMPRO_RING is based on the basic assumption that every room / place can become something special or sacred for people. All that is needed it is something that gives the space a meaning, a function, a framework. A dialogue begins, of the relationships between the "inside" and the "outside", inside and outside the borders. As part of the IMPRO_RING, all participants enjoy freedom of action in their options: alone, in pairs, to dance in groups, to move, to remain frozen, to interact or not, inclusion and exclusion, to enter or leave the RING.
In this specific case, IMPRO_RING is intended as a place for dance-networking, as a meeting point.
Tony Rizzi, Richard Oberscheven, Verena Kutschera, Laurin Thomas, Ida Kaufmann, Sandra Domnick, Maria Kobzeva, Evie Poaros, Nadja Simchen, Madeline Ferricks-Rosevear.Ten artists from Frankfurt have shown short dance improvisations of five minutes on the dance carpet of the IMPRO_RING, and thus create the first 10 episodes, which has been published between March 18 and 23, 2021 in collaboration with the Gallus Theater in Frankfurt, Germany.
IMPRO_RING is the name of the project that has normally been carried out as a face-to-face event since 2009, but this time it is being presented online in its new form. After the great success of the online edition of SOLOCOREOGRAFICO Solo Dance Festival in Turin at the beginning of March 2021, Raffaele Irace, the director of the festival and program manager for dance and performance at the Gallus Theater in Frankfurt, has already prepared the next online format together with Frankfurt artists, which is now available on our Vimeo page or on the Theater website

Very soon we will publish a call for application which will serve to reach out to more dance performers that want to join us in Frankfurt at the Gallus Theater to be part of this new IMPRO_RING video series.
